FM <-> MIF
FM <-> MIF allows you to generate a complete book in MIF format out of a FrameMaker book in binary format and vice versa: the book file and all book components are saved in the respective format.

How to use the Plug-In FM <-> MIF, to safe books in the MIF-format:
1. Open a FrameMaker book Book name[.ext][.mif].
2. Click on FM <-> MIF>Save book as MIF in the FINALYSER menu.
You do not need to open the book components first. The book file that was saved in MIF format is named bookname.ext.mif and the system saves the components compname[.ext][.mif] as compname.ext.mif in MIF format.
How to use the Plug-In FM <-> MIF to safe books in the FrameMaker binary format:
1. Open a FrameMaker book bookname[.ext].mif.
2. In the FINALYSER menu, click on FM <-> MIF>Safe book as FM .
You do not need to open the book components first. The book file that was saved in FrameMaker binary format is named bookname.ext or bookname.bk. If .ext is missing; the components compname[.ext].mif are saved in the binary format as compname.ext or compname.fm, if .ext is missing.
Vorsicht: MIF-files without .mif extension are saved binary under the original name.
