Rename Formats by Configuration
Rename Formats allows you to replace the names of specific paragraph, character and cross-reference formats and tags with new ones. The information about the type of format, the old format name and the new one are located in a configuration file. You can use Rename Formats on books as well as on individual documents.
You use the Rename Formats plug-in as follows:
1. Open the document that you want to edit (a book file or an individual document). You do not need to open book chapters first.
2. In the FINALYSER menu, click on Rename Formats by Configuration > Edit Configuration to create a new configuration file or to edit it.If a configuration file does not yet exist for the active document name[.Ext], the system opens template FrameMaker_Home\fminit\Plugins\FINALYSER\docs\TemplRFN.fm as name.rfn. Read the information, fill out the configuration table and save the file.
3. In the FINALYSER menu, click on item Rename Formats by Configuration>Rename Formats.
Hinweis: The system saves changed files in the book without prompting you! You can prevent automatic saving by opening the book files (Shift + File>Open All Files in Book)before executing the function.
Hinweis: In single documents,Rename Formats replaces also paragraph format names in cells of catalog tables.Click 'Create' in the 'New Format' dialog if you want to replace the names.Click 'Cancel' if you want to keep the names unchanged.
